Single cask Braeval single malt, independently bottled by Douglas Laing. This whisky was matured in a refill sherry butt for 20 years – from December 1997 to February 2018 – before being bottled at 51.5% ABV for the Old Particular range. A release of 652 bottles.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Thick caramel mixed with treacle. A hint of red wine and stewed plum.
Palate: Chocolate ice cream, sugared almond, raisin and apricot.
Finish: Vanilla-rich malt, Ribena, nutmeg.
