Kornog Oloroso (46% abv)

This special release of Kornog finished in Oloroso cask brings out unique characters unlike the regular single malts which are usually aged in Bourbon casks. Hints of vinyl and varnish, mingling with vaguely green notes (white pepper, dried grass). Aeration accents the sweet barley as honey, boiled confectionary, marzipan. The peat is more definitive in the mouth, infusing flavours of toasted fruit cake. Green-wood smoke and a slightly grassy bitter-sweetness trail off in the finish.
