Buzzard’s Roost Toasted Barrel Rye, a thoughtfully blended three-year-old rye whiskey that’s finished in one-of-a-kind toasted barrels.
“I wanted this whiskey to not only have a unique flavor profile but a very specific flavor profile,” said Jason Brauner, Buzzard’s Roost Master Blender. “By leaving off the char and simply going with a toasted barrel, it allows me to quickly and accurately deliver those flavors.”
Toasted Barrel Rye is finished in proprietary barrels that feature custom toast profiles which lends additional vanilla character to the whiskey. Toasted barrels in general allow the whiskey to extract more barrel flavor in a shorter amount of time versus a heavy char.
